Dream of trying a recipe by one of your favourite metal musicians? Well, you’re in luck as members of Stone Sour, Poison, and Ozzy Osbourne’s crew are offering up recipes for a new cookbook benefitting autism studies.
Titled Rockin’ Recipes For Autism Volume 1, the new cookbook will feature heaps of tasty recipes from all sorts of musicians, including metalheads from Stone Sour, Ozzy Osbourne‘s band, and Poison, alongside many more.
The cookbook is all set to raise money and awareness for autism with the net profits benefitting We Rock For Autism, a Florida non-profit who provide “music therapy for several children” in addition to creating their own “annual Concert for Acceptance event,” which hosts “sensory friendly movie screenings.”
Put on by glam metal outfit Nova Rex’s Kenny Wilkerson, the bassist keenly scored recipes from musicians who have played in many great metal bands, while also grabbing some from Quiet Riot, Toto, Whitesnake, Skid Row, and more.
As Wilkerson’s son has Asperger’s Syndrome, one of the autism spectrum disorders, he was keen to do something for the good of raising awareness and funds.
“I have been very lucky to have been given the opportunity to tour the country and meet some amazing people,” Wilkerson stated. “Since I have a son on the autism spectrum, I know how important this cause is to all those affected. Thank you to these legendary rockers who have given their time to take a bite out of autism.”
