Footage has emerged of the late Linkin Park frontman, Chester Bennington, singing Nirvana’s ‘Polly’ as a young teenager.

Chester Bennington passed away nearly three years ago at the age of 41, but his legacy lives on in the music he left behind, and the memories shared by those who knew him. Although he was well known for his position as vocalist in Linkin Park, Bennington was also the vocalist for Grey Daze.

Taking to Facebook, the rock outfit Grey Daze posted an old video of a teenage Bennington singing along to Nirvana’s ‘Polly’, as he’s surrounded by a small group of people, and while a mate plays on an acoustic guitar.

Curly hair, glasses, and all, the clip lasts for just 48 seconds, and provides us of a previously unseen glimpse into Bennington’s short life.

Prior to joining Linkin Park, Bennington was a part of Grey Daze, who’ve recently discussed their feelings on the passing of the legendary musician while talking about what’s to come from the band.

During a YouTube series by Grey Daze, the members recalled how they learned of Bennington’s death, and how they felt in those exact moments, and the upset that was to come knowing that they wouldn’t get to make more music with him.

Drummer Sean Dowdell noted that he “immediately called Talinda [Bennington, Chester’s wife] and said ‘Hey, I know you don’t want to tell me details and I don’t care about any of that. I just want to know what you guys need, how can I help you?’ And she just said ‘Come out to L.A. and help me just, get here.’”
