It’s time to let the ’90s Buffalo Sneaker Depop bidding wars begin because it looks like the Spice Girls are back, baby.

As everyone’s favourite completely trustworthy and not at all tabloid-pandering publication The Sun reports, the OG Spice Girls lineup are set to reunite and celebrate 25 years of slammin your body down and winding it all around with a monolithic 2021 world tour.

Unfortunately, it’s shaping up to be a reunion that Posh Spice aka Victoria Beckham will not be taking part in. She does have an empire to run so we can’t blame her. I’m sure that Ginger, Sporty, Scary and Baby Spice will all be able to invoke an out of body experience with the help of Posh.

There’s been no concrete announcement pertaining to the tour, but from what we gather the 2021 affair will make its way across Europe, North America and Australia. The group will also be reportedly filming a documentary, celebrating their 25th anniversary as beloved pop icons.

Back in June, 2019, Scary Spice offered us a vision of hope after announcing that the reformed ’90s pop icons would be bringing their live show to Australia during the final date of the band’s UK reunion tour at London’s Wembley Stadium.

During the performance, Mel B thanked each and every one of the group’s fans for their support before noting that “we’ll see you in February in Australia!”

Those hopes were soon dashed after Mel B admitted to 2Day FM’s Grant, Ed and Ash that the group hadn’t actually locked in any Australian dates.

“You know me by now,” she explained at the time. “I always say the Spice Girls are going to continue and continue and tour the whole world.

“My thing is, and I’ve got a bee in my bonnet about it, is that we need to come to Australia first out the gate. I announced it on stage, yes, without everybody else signing off 100 per cent, but I figured if I put it out there maybe it’s going to happen.”

I don’t know about you but even though I have a burning hankering for live music, I have now committed to holding out until this tour comes to fruition. The first voyeur we should all collectively make back into the live music experience should be reserved for the Spice Girls and the Spice Girls only.
