We’d like to know a little bit about you for our files, but we don’t like regurgitating press releases or asking the easy questions. At Tone Deaf we only ask the tough questions, so just hold still, grit your teeth, clench your buttocks and be still while we put on the rubber gloves, apply the thumbscrews, and pull out our thermometer while you open up and say ahhhhhhhhhhh… Truthful answers only or we drink your rider while you’re on stage.

Who gets the most ‘off stage action’ in the band?  What’s the secret to their success?

Depends what you mean by ‘action’. If you mean parking tickets, that would be me. My methods come from a mystical talent that cannot be shared.

Have you ever been arrested? Where were you, and what was it for?

Never arrested, many Sheriff’s warrants, for aforementioned parking tickets.

What’s been the worst day job you’ve ever had?

I was a ‘Sandwich Artist’ at Subway when I was 14. The worst part was mixing up the ‘seafood mix’. Whatever it was, there was no seafood in there…beware!

Sex, drugs and groupies – In what order do you prefer them and how often?

Sex, groupies, drugs. Taken twice daily before meals.

Take us back to the first gig you went to. Where was it and what was the venue?

My earliest concert memory was being escorted out of a Paco Pena concert with my brother when we were about 5 and 8 years old. Our screams didn’t seem to gel well with his guitar playing. After that it was Alanis Morrisette, live at Rod Laver Arena, all the way man….I wore a midriff top.

What’s your favourite site to download music from and do you ever pay for it? Can we find any of your releases there?

I keep trying to learn to use Limewire and fail. I guess that makes me a forced abstainer.

What’s the furthest you’d go to win over a new fan?

Do a Q&A.

Right, here’s the plug section –  tell us about upcoming gigs/tours and releases.

Well…if you insist. For the next month (that’s Sunday early evenings), my band are I will be playing a residency at the Grace Darling with a lot of great bands playing each week for your listening pleasure. It’s all celebrating a new single and upcoming record release next year. Come and feel the flava, blah blah blah. I sing a lot and we play a lot, we hope you like it.
