Throughout January, Summer Sounds Festival is celebrating the return of live music with a programme stacked with some of the most beloved names in Australian music.

The Bonython Park festival kicked off last month with performances from the likes of Bernard Fanning and Allday, now they’ve added even more names to the chock-a-block lineup.

Canberra’s hip hop troubadour Genesis Owuso, Sydney-based producer CLYPSO, and pop dynamo George Alice are all set to join the party as it unfurls over the next month.

Genesis Owusus and CLYPSO are set to join Ruel at his show on Thursday, 21st January. Meanwhile, whilst George Alice has been will cut her teeth at Lime Cordiale and Baker Boy‘s gig on Sunday, 24th January.

The festival has listened to the demands of the people and announced that a 2 Person Party Pod option will be introduced to the forthcoming Mallrat and Cub Sport show this Friday, January 15th in addition to Ruel’s January 21st performance.

If you’re reading the above and thinking, “what on god’s green earth is a party pod?”, let me break it down for you: the festival has introduced social distance-abiding pods for groups of 4-6 people which will allow you and your nearest and dearest to spend the day dancing, drinking, standing or sitting as you witness the power of live music coursing through your veins.
