Snoop Dogg has once again weighed in on the much-rumoured feud between him and Eminem by insisting that they are “still friends”.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Snoop Dogg revealed that he didn’t want to make the supposed beef with Eminem “more than what it is”.
“We still friends. I think that’s family business and I don’t want to make it more than what it is,” he said.
“He said what he said, I respect that, we just going to keep it right there. It’s family business,” he added, referencing Eminem’s recent track ‘Zeus’.
ICYMI, Eminem released the song back in December last year, which appeared on the deluxe edition of Music To Be Murdered By.
“And, as far as squashing beef, I’m used to people knocking me/But, just not in my camp/And diplomatic as I’m tryna be/Last thing I need is Snoop dogging me/Man, Dogg, you was like a (Yeah) damn God to me/Nah, not really (Haha)/I had ‘dog’ backwards/But I’m starting to think, all these people takin’ shots at me/Shit, it’s no wonder,” he rapped, taking aim at Snoop.
The lyrics appeared to serve as a response to an interview Snoop did with The Breakfast Club in July last year off the back of excluding Eminem from his top 10 greatest rappers of all-time list.

“Eminem? The great white hope?” Snoop said.
He continued: “White rappers had zero respect in rap, let’s keep that 1-thowwow. None. He [Dre] has probably put Eminem in the position to where he could be like labeled as one of Top 10 rappers ever. I don’t think so, but the game feels like he’s Top 10 lyricist and all that comes with it but that’s just because he’s with Dr. Dre and Dr. Dre helped him find the best Eminem he could find.”
“I don’t think so, but the game thinks that he’s a top 10 lyricist and everything that comes with it. That’s just because he’s with Dr. Dre.”
Eminem also elaborated on how he felt about Snoop’s comments during an interview with Shady 45.
“I think it was more about the tone he was using that caught me off-guard ‘cause I’m like, where is this coming from? I just saw you, what the fuck? It threw me for a loop,” he said.
“I probably could’ve gotten past the whole tone and everything, but it was the last statement where he said, ‘Far as music I can live without, I can live without that shit,’” he said. “Now you’re being disrespectful. It just caught me off-guard.”
Now that Snoop has strongly shut down allegations of tension, one can only hope that this saga has reached its conclusion.
