In some much needed lighthearted and positive news for 2021, Snoop Dogg has assured fans there’s no bad blood between him and Eminem.

A fan account posted an old photo of Snoop and Eminem together late last night and captioned it, “I wonder what changed”. Snoop Dogg, himself, took to the photo to comment, “Nothing, we good 💪🏾.”.

ICYMI, there was supposedly a bit of tension between the pair. Snoop dissed Eminem during a video interview with The Breakfast Club in July last year after excluding him from his top 10 greatest rappers of all-time list.

“Eminem? The great white hope?” Snoop said. “White rappers had zero respect in rap, let’s keep that 1-thowwow. None. He [Dre] has probably put Eminem in the position to where he could be like labeled as one of Top 10 rappers ever. I don’t think so, but the game feels like he’s Top 10 lyricist and all that comes with it but that’s just because he’s with Dr. Dre and Dr. Dre helped him find the best Eminem he could find.”

don’t think so, but the game thinks that he’s a top 10 lyricist and everything that comes with it. That’s just because he’s with Dr. Dre,” he added.

It looked as though Eminem had ignored the snub for a while, until he retaliated back in his song ‘Zeus’ which was released on December 18th, 2020.

“And, as far as squashing beef, I’m used to people knocking me/But, just not in my camp/And diplomatic as I’m tryna be/Last thing I need is Snoop dogging me/Man, Dogg, you was like a (Yeah) damn God to me/Nah, not really (Haha)/I had ‘dog’ backwards/But I’m starting to think, all these people takin’ shots at me/Shit, it’s no wonder,” Eminem rapped, aiming fire at Snoop.

Keeping up? Good. Days later Eminem explained that he was hurt by Snoop’s comments in The Breakfast Club interview.

“I think it was more about the tone he was using that caught me off-guard ‘cause I’m like, where is this coming from? I just saw you, what the fuck? It threw me for a loop,” he said in an interview with Shady 45.

“I probably could’ve gotten past the whole tone and everything, but it was the last statement where he said, ‘Far as music I can live without, I can live without that shit,’” he said. “Now you’re being disrespectful. It just caught me off-guard.”

There was some more back and fro between the two rappers, including an Instagram comment from Snoop Doggy Dog that included the phrase “soft ass shit”.

Alas, thankfully now all seems well in the rap world thanks to Snoop’s succinct clarification.
