Aussie rock stalwarts Hoodoo Gurus have announced a huge Australian tour to commemorate the 40th anniversary of their first live show.
The band has enlisted the help of bona-fide US indie-rock legends The Dandy Warhols to come along. The tour will see the bands play five shows across Australia’s major cities.
The tour will kick off at Riverstage in Brisbane on Wednesday, December 1st before heading to Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne on Friday, December 3rd, Hordern Pavillion in Sydney on Saturday, December 4th, Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Thursday, December 9th and finally Belvoir Homestead & Amphitheatre in Perth on Saturday, December 11th.
“We are thrilled to be going around Australia to play for our fans again,” the band said. “Even better, we are honoured to be accompanied by our admirable friends, The Dandy Warhols from the US.
“Between the two of us, there are gonna be plenty of opportunities for crowd singalongs, and after the turmoil of the last year and a half, that’s gonna be incredibly therapeutic for everyone.
“You can be certain that both of our bands will be fired up and rarin’ to go.”
To celebrate the announcement, Hoodoo Gurus have dropped a brand new single, ‘World of Pain’, which you can listen to below.
