Dance-pop newcomers We Are Iso have firmly cemented themselves as ones to watch with their music video for ‘Love n’ Trust’.

Directed by Alan Woodman of Nixie Films, the clip sees duo Straalen McCallum and Jessy Mulholland perform late at night alongside a stunning light show in an untouched location.

It’s a simple yet hypnotic video that perfectly sets the mood for We Are Iso’s unique brand of electronic house-inspired pop.

In a statement, vocalist McCallum explained that the duo wanted to keep the video “stripped back” to allow the “super-powerful” song to tell the story.

“Filming at night was such a vibe even though Jessy was rugged up in his big jacket and I was freezing! It just felt so right for the song ‘Love n’ Trust,'” he said.

“Alan our director was awesome and managed to capture the moon perfectly as it watched on directly behind us. All around, it was such an epic night and I’m so glad we got to capture it!”

The track itself tells the story of navigating through a one-sided relationship, which Mulholland explained evolved from the simple vocal hook of “love…. trust”.

“The couple are stuck in a loophole with no escape – even at their worst, when they fight and cheat on each other, they stay together, hoping one day they could just let it go,” he said.

“This song is groovy as, with a heavy festival vibe. You can’t help but dance to it and the hook gets stuck in your head! We are so proud of this one!”

Although We Are Iso may be fresh on the scene, they already have plenty of industry experience under their belt. In 2010, McCallum became the youngest person to ever be signed by Sony at just nine years old, while Mullholland has been making a name for himself as a DJ in the house scene for years.
