Get excited, fans of The Wombats: the beloved British indie-rockers are once again returning to Australia to tour in 2022.
That’s right, the lads from Liverpool will be hitting the stage at seven shows in Perth, Hobart, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and Brisbane.
The news accompanies the release of the trio’s latest track ‘If You Ever Leave, I’m Coming With You’, the second single from their upcoming fifth album Fix Yourself, Not The World.
Due to be released on Friday, January 7th 2022, the album was recorded remotely over the last year from the members’ respective homes in Los Angeles, Oslo and London.
While The Wombats have played at some of the world’s biggest festivals including Coachella, Glastonbury and Lollapolozza, they have always had a special affinity for Australia.
Not only have had they had three albums hit the ARIA top 5, but they have also performed sets at the likes of Falls Festival, Splendour in the Grass and Groovin’ The Moo.
In a statement, the band revealed it is the “understatement of the century” that they are looking forward to returning Down Under.
