Zef fans rejoice! South Africa’s most famous musical export since Paul Simon paid the country a visit with Graceland, have announced a headline Melbourne show as they bring their unique Afrikaaner white trash rap schtick to Australia with the Big Day Out.
Fronted by performance artist turned zef style rapper Watkin Tudor-Jones, AKA Ninja and backed up by the inimitable Yo-Landi Vi$$er and DJ Hi-Tek, the group has taken the internet by storm and saw us hammered by fans here at Tone Deaf when we discussed their background. Love them or hate them, this will undoubtedly be one of the hottest tickets in Melbourne this summer.
