Soul sensation Cee Lo Green, the voice of Gnarls Barkley and now a star in his own right with the release of the massive radio hit ‘Fuck You’ – one of Tone Deaf’s singles of the year – has said exactly that to his Australian fans. Scheduled to perform at the Good Vibrations Festival in February, alongside Phoenix, Nas, Kelis and Faithless, Cee Lo has pulled out. Citing the old chestnut of ‘scheduling conflicts’, it appears he much preferred the option of performing at the Grammy Awards in America where he has received four nominations. Good Vibes organisers said in a statement:
We can confirm that Cee Lo Green has been invited by the Recording Academy to perform live at the Grammy awards in February. Unfortunately this means he will no longer be available to appear at the 2011 Good Vibrations Festival as originally planned. We wish Cee Lo all the best for his performance and his four Grammy nominations.
