Foo Fighters have completed work on their eighth album, telling followers on Twitter that they were done and posing the question – ‘Champagne anyone?’

Dave Grohl is pictured in an accompanying group shot brandishing a bottle of bubbly, along with his bandmates, newly returned member (and one time Nirvana member) Pat Smear, as well as the production crew of Alan Moulder, Butch Vig and Emily Lazar.

The band also posted a 10 second clip to the song ‘White Limo’ which sounds as loud and heavy as anything they’ve done before. With some massive stadium gigs lined up in Europe in the middle of the year, it’s likely that we can expect the album to be released beforehand.
