The most rock n’ roll aeroplane in the world, Iron Maiden’s Ed Force One, has landed in Australia. The Boeing 757 plane – which is helmed by singer Bruce Dickinson who is also a qualified pilot flying for Astreus Airlines – has touched down at Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport after swooping in from Singapore.
No doubt the metal heads in the aircraft control tower were in heaven as they were able to tell Dickinson – ‘Ed Force One you have permission to land.’ In Australia to headline the Soundwave Festival, and touring new album The Final Frontier, the band are also doing two sideshows which promise to be spectacular. If you haven’t snapped up tickets be quick!
