Taylor Swift has been granted a temporary restraining order against a 45-year-old man from Colorado who has repeatedly visited her Los Angeles home and made delusional claims about their relationship.

As per Rolling Stone, Brian Jason Wagner must now stay at least 100 yards away from Swift following Judge Debra R. Archuleta’s ruling. The singer petitioned the court for protection on Friday, June 6th after multiple concerning incidents.

In her court filing, Swift detailed the disturbing nature of Wagner’s behaviour: “During each of these visits, I am informed that Mr. Wagner made various statements about living at my property (not true), being in a relationship with me (not true), believing I am the mother of his son (not true), and needing to see me in person, all of which are untrue and disconnected from reality.”

The stalking began in July 2024 when Wagner first appeared at Swift’s residence. He allegedly returned later “carrying a glass bottle that could have been used as a weapon”, according to court documents. The situation escalated further when Wagner illegally obtained identification connecting his name to Swift’s address and attempted to collect her mail.

Swift expressed her alarm in the filing, stating: “I do not share publicly where I reside and have never shared my address or the location of my Los Angeles residence with Mr. Wagner. Therefore, the fact that Mr. Wagner has determined where I reside and visited the property several times, refusing to leave and claiming to need access, makes me fear for my safety and the safety of my family.”

The stalking intensified in May 2025 when Wagner visited the property twice. Swift’s legal team discovered through a background check that Wagner had previously written “lengthy communications” while in jail, claiming a romantic connection to the musician.

“The fact that both of these recent visits and Mr. Wagner’s inappropriate and threatening communications to my staff about me have escalated in recent weeks creates a fear of imminent harm,” Swift explained in her petition.
