Hypersonic has unveiled its star-studded artist lineup, featuring Alesso, Steve Aoki, and more.

The new music festival will be hosted by MC Stretch in Sydney on November 29 and Melbourne on November 30.

Leading the lineup is Swedish House Mafia’s Alesso, Steve Aoki, Marlo, and Adam Beyer. The festival will mark English DJ Aaron Hibell’s first visit to Australia, and Norwegian duo KREAM’s return after a tour earlier this year.

Yesterday, the festival teased punters by releasing its first artist, Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren.

Announced last week, Hypersonic is described as a “ground breaking multi genre festival”.

It is produced by Symbiotic, one of Australia’s leading specialist trance event companies, led by CEO Richie McNeill and fellow director Janette Bishara.

McNeill is a leading figure in Australia’s electronic music scene, both as the DJ Richie Rich and as an entrepreneur. He managed Mushroom’s leading dance distributor, founded Hardware, and co-founded the much-loved and now defunct Stereosonic, the dance music juggernaut which at its peak could shift more than a quarter million tickets.

Bishara, meanwhile, boasts experience producing such events as Armin Only, A State Of Trance, ABGT150, Above and Beyond Acoustic at the Sydney Opera House and more.

Symbiotic has toured such acts as MaRLo, Vini Vici, Maddix, Billy Gillies, Paul van Dyk, Above & Beyond and more, and has presented Transmission Festival, Dreamstate USA, MaRLo Altitude and Festival X.

Pre-purchase tickets now available for $175 + fees. Regular presale is set for 12 p.m. Thursday, August 21, where tickets will start from $169.95 + fees. Any remaining tickets will go up for general sale at 12 p.m. Friday, August 22.
