M.I.A. has confirmed two headline shows in Australia.
The pioneering British-Sri Lankan artist will deliver two performances following her appearance at Harvest Rock in Adelaide (see full dates below).
M.I.A.’s journey to international acclaim began with her groundbreaking 2005 debut album Arular, which showcased her ability to merge global sounds with sharp cultural critique. The album introduced listeners to her experimental approach, combining traditional South Asian influences with contemporary hip-hop and electronic elements.
The artist reached new heights with her 2008 smash hit “Paper Planes”, which became a cultural phenomenon and earned multiple Grammy nominations.
Her subsequent releases, including the critically acclaimed albums Kala and Matangi, continued to showcase her inventive sampling techniques and socially charged lyrics. Away from music, M.I.A. has been an outspoken humanitarian, supporting various global causes to build schools, stand up for victims of atrocities, and support impoverished communities.

M.I.A. will play some of Australia’s most iconic venues during her upcoming visit, starting with her festival appearance at Harvest Rock in Adelaide on Saturday, October 25th. She will then take the stage at Melbourne’s Forum on Sunday, October 26th, before concluding her Australian run at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Wednesday, October 29th.
