Jack Johnson will make his return to Australia and New Zealand this year for a massive headline tour.

The Hawaii-based artist will head our way in November with fellow US star Ben Harper, as well as Australian favourite John Butler.

The tour will kick off in Brisbane, before moving on to Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and North Canterbury. The Sydney stop will also be joined by recent APRA Award winner, Emily Wurramurra.

Johnson’s trip comes in support of his forthcoming documentary and soundtrack, SURFILMUSIC, set for release on Friday, May 15th. The film chronicles “Johnson’s evolution from surfer to filmmaker to world-renowned musician, from his youth on the north shore of Hawaii through the making of his iconic surf films Thicker Than Water (1999) and The September Sessions (2000), to the beginning of his music career.  Those classic surf films revealed Johnson’s artistic point of view through his lens and guitar, ultimately launching his music career.”
