Rock n’ roll may be the devil’s music but it comes pretty sanitised at the Big Exo Day, an all ages event held in Sydney on Saturday 17th September which is supported by a whole bunch of Christian charities such as Anglicare, Mission Australia, The Salvation Army, the Australian Christian Channel and Gloria Jeans Coffee.
It’s a one day festival for thousands of young people together which promotes a “message of encouragement to the youth of today; that no matter what they might be dealing with in life and no matter how hard things might be, life can still be EXO (excellent).” Growing every year since its inception in 2002, this year it’s moved to a new location in Parramatta Park and according to the presser “the experience delivers the ultimate combination of international and local music artists; atmosphere, celebration and creativity. It includes rock, hardcore, electro, dance, hip-hop and urban, indie and folk artist performances all in a safe drug and alcohol free environment.”
The line up features: The Almost, Tedashi, Trip Lee, Pro, This’L, KB, Stan Walker, Tiger Town, New Empire, Reggie Dabbs, Graveyards, Seasons, Revival Ashore, Vices, Nazarate Vow, Jonnday, Drawing North, Capree, Samantha Kate, Jake Nauta, Kappa, Luke Robinson, Kids and Cousins.
