Adelaide and Perth might not be getting the full Harvest Gathering festivals that are gracing the East Coast capitals this November, but they won’t necessarily miss out on seeing the headliners, because Portishead and Mercury Rev have announced double headline shows in these cities, as well as for our lamb loving friends across the Tasman in Auckland.
Hitting up the Thebarton Theatre in Adelaide and the Belvoir Theatre, the babysitters will be making a killing as the city’s 30 and 40-somethings relive the soundtrack to their teens and twenties with the sublime music of both acts. It’ll be Portishead’s first tour down under since 1998 and will give fans the opportunity to hear the songs from their highly acclaimed comeback album Third, live.
