The world is not enough for Adele, who has been reportedly approached to record the theme for the next James Bond film, due for release in 2012. Unlike the spies featured in the films, Adele was loose-lipped in a recent interview on a UK chat show.
When asked about her upcoming projects she revealed she would be heading back into the studio in November. When asked what she would be working on she revealed “Well, this is actually a theme. Wow, that’s really giving something away.”
The host then hummed the signature James Bond music to which a clearly embarrassed Adele said: “It’s a concept. One song.”
Long a staple of the film franchise, recording the theme to a James Bond film comes with an impressive pedigree. Jack White and Alicia Keys recorded the theme for the last film, Quantum Of Solace. Madonna, Tina Turner, Duran Duran, and many others have also penned themes.
