Power couple and expecting parents A$AP Rocky and Rihanna are dropping a new collaboration – and it’s coming sooner than you think.

A$AP Rocky and Rihanna are dropping a new collaboration, and it’s coming sooner than one may think. The two are teaming up on a new offering, titled ‘A Ghetto Love Tale’, releasing this Thursday.

A$AP Rocky also confirmed the release in a now-deleted Instagram post earlier today. The rapper posted the single artwork, only captioning it ‘THUR$DAY’.

As of now, however, it is unclear whether this is a new single, short movie, music video, or something else. Although, the artwork for the collaboration does describe it as a ‘picture’. A$AP Rocky also features on the credits as the writer, director, and executive producer.

The new release comes amidst heightened interest around the couple.

In late April, police arrested A$AP Rocky at Los Angeles International Airport just as he had returned from a vacationing in Barbados with Rihanna. According to reports, the arrest pertained to a November 2021 shooting that Rocky was allegedly a part of.

Later, authorities also searched A$AP’s home in relation to the shooting and found a large amount of firearms. Upon further inspection, they ruled that the discovered guns were unrelated to the shooting and purchased legally.

The couple also skipped this year’s Met Gala, despite Rihanna being deeply involved with the event over the years. In 2018, she hosted the event along with Amal Clooney. In 2021, she hosted the famous event after-party. It’s unclear whether their absence was due to A$AP’s ongoing case or Rihanna’s pregnancy – the singer is in her third trimester.

Despite Rihanna’s absence, however, the Met found a way to pay tribute to the singer, who has served some iconic looks on the red carpet. Videos of the event revealed that the singer had been immortalised as a marble statue in all her pregnant glory.
