US rapper Action Bronson has been forced to cut a recent performance short after being blinded by a strobe light mid-set.

If you’ve ever been lucky enough to see Action Bronson live, you’d be aware that the chef-turned-rapper has a tendency to bring one amazing show to the stage.

However, between his breezy flow, brutal rhymes, and charismatic behaviour, he’s also had a few mishaps on stage in the past. In fact, just last year, Bronsoliño was arrested after lighting up a joint while performing in Kosovo.

Now, the rapper has had another memorable stage moment, having been temporarily blinded while performing in Canada this week.

As TMZ reports, Action Bronson’s show at Ottawa’s Algonquin Commons Theatre had be cut short after the rapper was seen scoring a full flash of light to the face, before stumbling around in a disorientated manner.

Those at the concert reported that an announcement was made explaining that Action Bronson had been taken to receive medical attention, and that the show was officially cancelled soon after.

Taking to Twitter soon after the incident, the rapper explained his side of the story, using it as an opportunity to speak out against the use of strobe lighting on stage.

“I was blinded and disoriented from that blast of the strobe light last night that’s why I was unable to finish in Ottawa,” he wrote in an all-caps Tweet. “I’m feeling better now thank you.”

“Those things need to never be near me again it was almost really bad. Be careful.”

Some of the rapper’s fans also took to Twitter to complain about the excessive usage of strobe lights at the show.

“I was in the front row and had my retinas burned out at the start of each song,” wrote , while added “I caught a blast at soundcheck and saw spots for 25 minutes.”

“Those lights were overkill. Not meant for a show like this.”

While Action Bronson has since taken to Twitter to reveal his upcoming shows are set to go head as planned, this incident will likely have some fans feeling a tad apprehensive about bright lights at concerts in the future.
