Washington soul singer Allen Stone has released his greatest album yet.
On Building Balance, the 14-track sonic journey of love and loss which tips its hat to neo-soul, modern R&B and funk pop, Stone is a force to be reckoned with in this masterclass in modern blues.
It’s any wonder he’s caught the attention of Lionel Richie and nabbed a co-sign with Justin Bieber. Over tracks like ‘Sweaters’ and ‘I’m Alright’ Allen Stone could sit in writers rooms with top players in any genre and still come out with an eargasm.

Still need convincing on why it’s our top record this week? I asked four writers to sum up their thoughts on Allen Stone’s Building Balance.
With Building Balance, Allen Stone has offered up an earthbound and tactile project awash with the pleasures of humility, attraction and, most importantly, love.
– Michael Di Iorio, The Brag Magazine Editor, Writer
Allen Stone is dynamic as ever with Building Balance. Full of vibrancy, heart and energy, the record is demonstrative of his continued songwriting skill and impassioned delivery.
