Pop superstar Kesha has unleashed her fourth studio album High Road onto the world.

The LP had big shoes to fill; 2017’s Rainbow hit #3 on the ARIA Album chart and featured the 4x ARIA Platinum hit ‘Praying’.  However, with tracks like ‘Resentment’, ‘My Own Dance’ and ‘Raising Hell’  – the latter amassing over 6 million streams worldwide – High Road does come close.

It’s a timely release for Australian fans too, Kesha arrives later this month to headline the Mardi Gras Party in Sydney on February 29th and will celebrate her birthday here on March 1st.

Still need convincing on why it’s our top record this week? I asked four writers to sum up their thoughts on Kesha’s Hard Road album.

At the end of the rainbow the party has only just begun for Kesha, who rekindles the Jack-swigging good times of her early releases.

Balladry, birthday suits and a balls-out attitude set this candle of an album aflame, as Kesha returns with her most carefree and joyous project to date.

Kesha has proved that her comeback season is far from over; embracing new influences and expressing rejuvenated control over her own creative narrative.
– Sosefina Fuamoli, Writer

High Road is as audacious and unruly as late-naughties Kesha, being equal parts reassuringly nostalgic and refreshing for the listener. Each track candidly cultivates a narrative of her own path towards unadulterated self expression.
