All That Remains have hinted at the potential release of unheard material from late guitarist Oli Herbert in the future.

Back in October, the world of heavy metal was shocked to learn of the death of All That Remains guitarist Oli Herbert. A founding member of the group, Herbert passed away due to what described as an “accident which occurred on the property of his home.”

Weeks later, it was revealed by Herbert’s wife Beth that his passing had occurred due to drowning, while depressants and a sleep aid were also found in his system.

Unfortunately, fans soon began to target Beth, stating they didn’t believe the story behind the guitarist’s passing, with police later stating they were treating his death as suspicious.

Throughout this whole ordeal, All That Remains had chosen to continue performing live, with Jason Richardson of Chelsea Grin and Born Of Osiris soon being confirmed as their replacement guitarist.

Now, the band have revealed that they may one day release unheard material recorded by Oli Herbert.

Speaking to Oklahoma radio station 100.5 The KATT (via Blabbermouth), vocalist Phil Labonte discussed a number of topics, including the presence of Jason Richardson in the group and the release of Herbert’s unheard material.

“There’s some other songs that didn’t make it to [2018 album] Victim [Of The New Disease],” Labonte began. “So it’s possible that people will hear other stuff from the Victim sessions.”

“The label has them, so we’ll see what they decide they want to do. We felt like the 10 songs that made it on to Victim, we were, like, ‘These are the ones that make the most sense for us to put as a collection of songs.'”

“There’s no other, like, hidden riffs or anything like that, so anything that we write for the next record that we do, that will be something that I imagine will be heavily influenced [by], and there will be heavy contributions from, Jason Richardson.”

While Phil Labonte was unable to describe what form these unheard songs may take, this news is undoubtedly heartening for longtime fans who will take solace in knowing that there’s still more from Oli Herbert to be heard in the future.
