Albuquerque mayor Tim Keller is at it again, showing off his love of metal while signing a recent bill.
You might recall how a few months ago, the mayor of Albuquerque, New Mexico, made headlines after introducing Aussie icons Parkway Drive during a gig in his town.
“In our city, we believe in ourselves, we look inside to deal with our challenges, we strive to be the best Albuquerque we can be,” he proclaimed, while also dropping lyrics from their track ‘Vice Grip’.
“We bring hope to the hopeless, we are the light in the darkness. Tonight, we keep the flame alive. So Albuquerque, scream for your inspiration, scream for Parkway Drive!”

Now, as Blabbermouth reports, Tim Keller has once again shown off his love for metal, sporting a Pantera Christmas sweater while signing a bill.
Taking place on Thursday, December 27th, Keller can be seen smiling in his festive metal attire while signing a paid parental leave bill.
Of course, this isn’t the first time that Tim Keller has made the headlines for something like this, with the noted heavy metal fan helping to introduce the likes of Anthrax and Trivium in the past.
In fact, in an interview with the Albuquerque Journal last year, Keller explained that his favourite band was Brazilian rockers Sepultura. “They are awesome,” he explained. “It’s the music of empowerment.”
With Tim Keller’s love of metal, and the fact that Texan politician Beto O’Rourke used to play in a band with At The Drive-In’s Cedric Bixler-Zavala, it’s looking like the future of US politics is shaping up to be a lot more musical.
