It’s been a while since we’ve had new Angels & Airwaves music grace our ears, but it may be as soon as this week that we’ll finally get to hear some new tunes.

It’s been six years since we were blessed with the brilliance of The Dream Walker, but it’s only been a year since both ‘Rebel Girl’ and ‘Kiss And Tell’ were released. Now, it seems that new music may be on the way according to a Tweet put out by the Californian rockers, themselves.

Taking to Twitter, the band posted a singular worded Tweet alongside a small, 15-second instrumental clip. “Thursday” is all the Tweet mentioned, which gives us a bit of hope of when we’ll be seeing the new tunes drop.

This isn’t the first time that the rock outfit has taken to social media to tease us. Back in 2018, frontman and Blink 182 co-founder Tom DeLonge posted a video to Instagram with the hashtag #newshit, additionally tagging Angels & Airwaves.

As DeLonge stated to NME in an interview, we can expect the new album to be his vision of what he wanted Blink’s future to look like.

“In many ways, what Angels is doing on this next record is kinda what my vision for where I wanted Blink to go in the future was,” he stated.

“Not that it was created yet, but I started Blink so I had a vision in my head for what it should be in the beginning and then where it should go. But I don’t own the band. I have partners and everyone’s voice was equal. It was like three guys trying to drive the car at the same time and that’s what made it great.”

As it’s known that a new Angels & Airwaves album has been in the works for a while, we’re hoping that this (hopefully) new release will get us on our way to knowing when we can expect their highly anticipated new album.
