A man has been pistol whipped in the United States, during a heated argument over a Bruno Mars song. 71-year old Roger Washburn was arrested on Friday night over the incident, in which he hit his friend of 50 years in the head with a .38 revolver.

After the man showed Washburn proof that the song was indeed by Bruno Mars, the argument intensified, causing the men to stand up. Washburn pulled out his gun, to which the man responded by calling him a “chicken (unknown expletive)” — Washburn then struck him in the head with the weapon.

The gun went off upon collision with the man’s head, and then once more after that. The men said they did not initially contact police because they were both so shocked by the incident, reports the Indianapolis Star.

Washburn is now facing charges of battery and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.

It is still unknown which song the men were arguing over. Our bets are on Uptown Funk or Finesse.
