Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! The Foos’ latest leaked track from the forthcoming album ‘Wasting Light’ was officially released this week and it’s an absolute cracker. ‘Arlandria’ combines all the usual Foo Fighters’ rock ‘n’ roll antics with big, fat guitar riffs, an even bigger and fatter chorus and perfectly placed rises and falls throughout the song. I must say though, does Grohl have some kind of secret love for this small town called Arlandria? I ask because he’s mentioned it in another track ‘Headwires’. You tell me.

Word has it that the whole ‘Wasting Light’ album has been recorded on analogue tape in Dave Grohl’s garage and the end result is pretty spectacular. It’s clean but rough enough around the edges to maintain it’s garage-punk appeal. I have no doubt that this will be an instant hit.
