Rapper A$AP Rocky has dished the deets on his new album, including the delicious nugget of news that he’s set to collaborate with Morrissey on a new track.

Speaking to GQ, Rocky described his forthcoming album as a “ghetto love tale” and says that it’s “way more mature” than his previous work. The highly-anticipated album is tentatively titled All Smiles and serves as a follow up to 2018’s TESTING.

According to the publication, the Smiths co-founder has been “writing, producing, and contributing vocals to the new record,” with Rocky adding: “Anything you need him to do, he show up and do.”

Rocky revealed that his current flame – fellow muso, icon and goddess Rihanna – has provided an ear for the upcoming tunes ahead of its release, saying the majority of the album had been completed on a cross-country road trip he took with RiRi during 2020.

“I think it’s important to have somebody that you can bounce those creative juices and ideas off of,” he said of the singer, with Rocky adding that Rihanna “absolutely” influenced the new music.

“It’s just a different point of view,” he added.

“Being able to drive and do a tour without feeling like it was an occupation or an obligated job agreement, I feel like that experience is like none other,” the rapper said.

Rocky even seized the opportunity by setting up a DIY studio on his studio bus, saying: “I never experienced nothing like it.”

Elsewhere in the candid interview, Rocky also elaborated on the July 2019 drama which saw the ‘Praise the Lord’ hitmaker arrested in Sweden after getting into a biff with a teen who had been hassling Rocky and his entourage.

He was subsequently held in a Swedish prison for a few weeks, leading to many of the stars celeb friends calling for a boycott of Sweden.
