Axl Rose’s love of cartoons is well documented – it’s rumoured the rock legend was once late to a G N’R show because he was totally enthralled by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. On top of that, during Guns N’ Roses Not In This Lifetime tour, the band walked on stage to the Looney Tunes theme song.

Now, it seems as though the rock legend’s love of the classic show has been taken to the next level. Although it’s not yet confirmed, fans seem to believe that a new track from Rose was sneakily premiered during a recent episode of New Looney Tunes.

During the episode, Axl Rose’s character’s tour bus is crushed by a giant pig on route to their show at the Civic Centre. He asks Bugs Bunny and co. claim an asteroid is about to hit the Earth and that there will be no show. Following this, Rose makes reference to his hey-day, acknowledging that he should “go back to wearing a mesh jersey and a kilt onstage again?”

Not long after, the song ‘Rock to Rock’ comes in – take a listen for yourself.

If it does prove to be Rose, it’ll mark the singer’s first piece of new material since 2008’s Chinese Democracy.

Rose recently opened up about the future of the band after the end of their most recent reunion tour.

“We’ve toured the world a few times over, but there are always places where we still haven’t performed,” he explained. “We played Iceland for the first time this year and we’re playing Hawaii for the first time this December – there are always places left to go.”

Whilst new Gunners material may not be on the cards, Rose also revealed that he’d like to score film soundtracks one day.

“Listening to movie soundtracks is a big thing for me,” Rose began. “When you listen to stuff like Pirates Of The Caribbean and you get that blend of orchestra and modern instrumentation – it’s very clever.”

“I have a lot of respect for the guys who do that. It is something that I would like to do at some point in the future.”
