Baker Boy is continuing to earn his reputation as one of the hardest workers in the Aussie music industry, announcing a run of national tour dates today.

If you’ve been lucky enough to catch Baker Boy live recently (say, during his recent appearances at the Laneway Festival), then you might have heard him play a few new songs, including the aptly-titled ‘Cool As Hell’.

Now, the track has scored itself an official release, with Baker Boy also unveiling dates for a national tour.

A slick, breezy tune, ‘Cool As Hell’ also features some appearances from Baker Boy’s family, with his father Josiah and brother Adam turning up in the Gabriel Gasparinatos-directed clip.

“‘Cool As Hell’ is about letting the music take control of your body and that’s exactly what the film clip does too,” Baker Boy explained. “It makes you feel bright and happy. Just makes you want to feel the music and dance.”

“I wanted to map Danzal’s journey and visualise how a young boy from North East Arnhem Land made it onto (and is now dominating) the world stage, in a charming and excitable way,” added Gabriel Gasparinatos.

“It was a last minute decision to include his brother Adam and father Josiah into the dance sequence that the latter choreographed during rehearsal.”

“But I felt that epitomised the clips meaning and intention and really brought it home.Led by his dancing that quite literally propels him through these scenarios, I wanted to capture the exciting journey of Baker Boy; which I believe is only getting started.”

To celebrate the release of the new track, Baker Boy is set to hit the road this April, hitting up Melbourne, Newcastle, Sydney, and Alice Springs, before wrapping it all up with an appearance at the Boomerang Festival, as part of Bluesfest. Check out all the details below.
