A Ball Park Australian Tour 2014 has been announced with the Brisbane group setting out on their second headline jaunt of the year for their third studio album Puddinghead.
The quirky indie rock five-piece latest tour is named in honour of latest single, ‘Trippin’ The Light Fantastic’, for which the band joke they’ll be performing “in 3D without any visual aid,” with a tongue-in-cheek press release stating Ball Park Music’s lineup “will appear as moving, three-dimensional objects” for their ‘revolutionary’ tour.
While the 3D aspect might be taking the mickey, the Ball Park Australian Tour 2014 does promise an “out-of-this-world light show”, while songwriting frontman Sam Cromack has been brushing up on his dance moves in order to recreate the choreography from the ‘Trippin’ The Light Fantastic’ music video each night of the 15-date tour.
Joining Ball Park Music on the road will be fellow fun-loving Brisbanites, Millions, and indie-pop maestro Lachlan Nicolson, better known as Pluto Jonze.
The ‘Trippin’ The Light Fantastic’ Tour follows on from Ball Park Music’s 21-date Puddinghead album launch tour earlier this year, where our Tone Deaf reviewer at their Adelaide show hailed the quintet as “one of the most acclaimed and sought after artists in Australia today.”
