This year’s Brisbane Festival is shaping up to have a really crazy good lineup! The festival, which kicks off in September, has just announced Ball Park Music, San Cisco and more to open the event.

This morning we announced that the biggest band in Australia (in my opinion) Violent Soho will be closing the month-long event with an epic show at Riverstage. They’ll be joined by Meg Mac, Methyl Ethel, and Waax for what is sure to be a very sweaty spring night.

And we can now reveal that Brisbane natives Ball Park Music will be joined by fellow triple j darlings and general musical sweethearts San Cisco to play Brisbane Festival’s opening night event.

They will be joined by Ruby Fields and Tia Gostelow at Riverstage.

The outdoor event is sure to be so super fun – promoters are calling it a “massive mini festival”, with the headliners referring to it as a massive concert with “their friends and you + your friends”.

Cute!

Brisbane Festival has also announced massive headline shows by locals Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and big international acts Destroyer and Unknown Mortal Orchestra. The festival this year is set to take a strong focus on bringing local and international music to The Sunshine State.

The festival has musical events running over a number of local Brisbane venues, including The Tivoli, Riverstage, and the iconic and beloved music venue The Spiegeltent.

The full lineup announce will be announced by Brisbane Festival on the 3rd of July (that’s next week!) but until then, be sure to jump on tickets as all this rocking goodness is sure to sell out quick!
