Beloved Aussie Boutique Music Festival Announces 2015 Comeback

Following a one-year forced hiatus, the organisers of Red Deer Music & Arts Festival, Brisbane’s only BYO camping music festival are elated to announce that Red Deer is back on 3rd October and this time around it’s here to stay.

It’s now in its fifth year at the grassy amphitheater in the Samford Valley and Red Deer 2015 is set to be the event’s biggest yet, with Festival Director Julian De Maria feeling nothing but optimistic about a triumphant return this October.

While De Maria admits the last 18 months of chasing down permits and filling in paperwork haven’t been exactly thrilling, the prospect of returning with a raft of passionate supporters and what’s sure to be some good times make the whole thing worthwhile.

“We’ve always had amazing fans, but when we heard that there were over 200 letters to council from the public, begging for Red Deer to return, we were stunned and so proud,” he said in a recent statement.

It’s truly a welcome return to the Aussie festival scene. Taking place at the base of the pristine D’Aguilar Range, Red Deer is a unique event that’s totally BYO, with a cool, couch-and-booze feel that invites punters to set up, soak up, and party however they please.

“We never want Red Deer to be just another overcrowded, money-grabbing festival. We strive to deliver a fresh and relaxed homegrown experience, memorable for its good vibes, mutual respect and sense of soul,” said De Maria. “Red Deer is all about the experience, and we encourage our punters to make it their own.”

Over the years, Red Deer have always supplied quality music lineups, having attracted appearances from local legends like Regurgitator, The Grates, Clare Bowditch, Matt McHugh, Kingswood, The Kite String Tangle, and many more.
