With an outstanding lineup that was simply too good to miss, the sixth installment of Beyond The Valley completely sold out in almost an instant. For those of you lucky enough to grab a ticket, here’s what you can expect from one of the most exciting festivals to come our way this year.

A stunning location

Beyond the Valley is hosted amongst the sprawling summery hills of Lardner Park (google it, it’s gorgeous), which will take you about an hour-and-a-half from Melbourne. Shimmering green as far as the eye can see and a stunning lake nearby to boot, this locale never fails to please. As far as festivals go, you’ll be more than pleased with your on-site photographs from Beyond the Valley.

The incredible lineup

No joke, this lineup is simply delectable. Beyond the Valley has been known for years now to showcase a healthy blend of heavy dance and hip-hop acts that cannot be found anywhere else, but this year they really upped the ante.

Tyler, The Creator is undeniably the biggest drawcard of this year’s show, and those lucky enough to grab a ticket will be able to indulge in one of his rare live performances. Why is everyone and their stepmother clamouring to see the U.S. rapper? Well, for starters, the man hasn’t been Down Under since he toured Australia with Earl Sweatshirt in 2013, so it’s been years since he’s been down here. Secondly, Tyler dropped one of the year’s most exciting albums in IGOR, which he will undoubtedly be bringing to the stage.

On top of that, attendees can expect a genre-blend that most festivals are afraid to boast, allowing music lovers to skip daintily between vastly differing acts like Cub Sport, Lion Babe, Claptone and Aussie icons The Veronicas. Not to mention RÜFÜS DU SOL will be there too. Yeah, it’s gonna be one hell of a show.

Boutique festival heaven

Not only will attendees be absolutely surrounded by breathtaking visuals and state-of-the-art sound design, but Beyond The Valley ticket holders will also get to experience art installations, sculptures, boutique bars, gourmet food trucks and even morning yoga classes. It’s kind of like a mini-vacation if you think about it. I mean, they even have Luxury Camping available as an option. Yeah, you read that right, Luxury Camping.

The festival foods

My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Festivals are hunger-inducing experiences, and nobody wants to be stranded on Fyre Island 2.0 with nothing good to eat. What’s better is that Beyond the Valley is known to have vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options, so literally everyone can dig in.

The 2018 edition featured delectables like Dutch pancakes from the Amsterdam Tent, Greek Souvlaki, Paella, vegan-optional nachos and our personal favourite, an Avocado Tent with loaded sweet potato fries which say, ‘who needs to own their own home anyways?!’

If drinks are more your style, have no fear, cocktails, beers, and ciders are aplenty at all the bars. You can catch me there, two burgers in hand.

Food!

Hopefully, you were one of the lucky people who snatched up a ticket in time, because by the looks of things, you’re gonna have a killer time. Make sure to send all of your friends postcards from the event, they’re gonna want to know how incredible Tyler was live. Now get excited you lucky ducks.
