Brisbane’s massive music industry conference Bigsound has announced another round of guest speakers as well as the first rounds of bands to have been selected to play at the event. Powerful radio programmers Mike Walsh (XFM) and Jen Long (BBC) from the UK will be joining triple j’s Richard Kingsmill as radio representatives, while US manager Brian Winton from Foundations Management, who represent Passion Pit, Joan As Policewoman, Tokyo Police Club and Owl City will also be speaking at the event.

Representing the booking circuit are Dave Shapiro (The Agency Group, US), Henning Ahrens (Four Artists Agency, Germany) and Lisa Whytock (Active Events, UK) as well asseveral of the crew from Canadian Music Fest, Big Day Out and Peats Ridge Festival. They join a bunch of speakers from specialist music distribution and TV, film and ad synching companies.
