Billie Eilish and her brother and co-producer Finneas took the stage at the 2020 Oscars earlier today to cover The Beatles.
As part of the annual In Memoriam segment celebrating the lives of iconic film stars who have past away in this last year, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas took the stage to cover ‘Yesterday’ by The Beatles. This year, the segment paid tribute to the late greats, Kobe Bryant, Rip Torn, Doris Day and Agnès Varda, among others.
Ahead of the Oscars ceremony, Billie Eilish who owned the night at the 2020 Grammys with the most awards, said that ‘Yesterday’ was “a song [she’s] always loved.”
The Oscars performance comes off the back of an announcement that Eilish and Finneas are taking the reigns for the next James Bond film No Time To Die, composing and performing the theme song for the upcoming film.

In recent news, Billie Eilish came out in an interview to criticise rappers for mostly lying in all of their songs.
In a recent interview Vogue magazine published Feb. 3, the Grammy Award-winning artist accused a majority of current rappers of lying in their music. She says in the interview that there is a clear difference between writing a story and making up the truth, insisting that she doesn’t ever use braggadocios language in her songs to invent any sort of image for herself.
“Just because the story isn’t real doesn’t mean it can’t be important,” she said. “There’s a difference between lying in a song and writing a story. There are tons of songs where people are just lying. There’s a lot of that in rap right now, from people that I know who rap. It’s like, ‘I got my AK-47, and I’m fuckin’,’ and I’m like, what? You don’t have a gun. ‘And all my bitches…’ I’m like, which bitches? That’s posturing, and that’s not what I’m doing.”
