The infamous fraudster and Fyre Fest founder Billy McFarland has reportedly struck up a friendship with Jersey Shore star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.
Billy McFarland and The Situation are both serving time at the Otisville Federal Correctional Institution in Otisville, New York. McFarland is set to serve a six-year sentence after pleading guilty to fraud, whilst Sorrentino is in the middle of serving an eight-month sentence for tax evasion.
According to Sorrentino’s fellow Jersey Shore castmates Vinny Guadagnino and Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, The Situation has decided that he will kill his time behind bars by “playing Scrabble” with McFarland and Ryan Collins, who is serving 18 months for his involvement in ‘Celebgate.’
“He is in there with the guy from the Fyre Festival,” Vinny explained. “And he’s in there with the guy that leaked Jennifer Lawrence’s nudes, that hacked her phone.”
“He’s in such good spirits because he sees Lauren once a week—his wife—and then he has so much to come home to, ” Pauly D said of Sorrentino. “He has a job, he’ll be filming, so he just wants to get it over with and do his time.”

Back in February, Ja Rule revealed that he had plans for Fyre Fest 2.0. “In the midst of chaos, there’s opportunity.” Ja Rule shared. “It [Fyre] is the most iconic festival that never was. I have plans to create the iconic festival, but you didn’t hear that from me.”
