You asked for more blues, well, you got it. The organisers of Byron Bay Bluesfest 2016 have just given next year’s lineup a big old dose of pure, black suit-sporting, sunglasses-wearing blues, with the addition of The “Original” Blues Brothers Band.

Festival founder Peter Noble and his crew have managed to coax the original band into reforming for a very special festival performance that will see 11 members of the highly respected blues collective take the stage to play out songs you know and love.

There’ll also be an appearance from American songwriter legend Don McLean, best known for iconic hits like ‘American Pie’. He’ll be joined by Russell Morris, The Blind Boys Of Alabama, The Tea Party’s Jeff Martin, Archie Roach, Tex Perkins & The Ape, and more.

Of course, you can’t forget about the stack of incredible bands and artists that have already been announced for next year’s annual gathering at the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm, including Kendrick Lamar, D’Angelo and The Vanguard, and Brian Wilson, just to name a few.
