Can’t make it up to Byron Bay for Bluesfest next year? That’s alright, because the festival has just announced its first round of sideshows, meaning all your favourite artists will be coming to you instead!

Back in August, Bluesfest announced its first lineup for their 30th anniversary year. With some huge names on the bill, including Jack Johnson, Ben Harper & The Innocent, Snarky Puppy, and Kasey Chambers, fans were undoubtedly looking forward to April more than usual.

Of course, with a great festival lineup comes a great deal of sideshows, and Bluesfest have delivered just that, announcing their first round of sideshows today.

Yes, this means that Aussie audiences will have the chance to see the likes of Ray LaMontage, Arlo Guthrie, and Nahko And Medicine For The People when they hit up Australian shores next year.

We’ll also be seeing performances from the likes of Keb’ Mo’, Trevor Hall, Vintage Trouble, Larkin Poe, and The California Honeydrops. However, most importantly, fans will also get the chance to wave goodbye to George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, as they bring their final Australian tour around the country next April.

Tickets to all these shows go on sale at 10am on Monday, September 17th. If you’re a Bluesfest Touring member, you can get access to pre-sales, which kick off on Thursday, September 13th. Head along to the Bluesfest website to sign-up for pre-sale access.

Tickets to Bluesfest’s 30th anniversary celebrations are on sale now, so be sure to head along to their website to make sure you don’t miss out on one of the biggest events on the Aussie musical calendar.
