Bluesfest shocked fans all over the country when they announced their phenomenal first lineup just a matter of weeks ago. Now, proving there’s plenty of fuel left in the tank, Bluesfest have gone and released their second lineup announcement today, featuring some of the most phenomenal artists from around the world.

With Bluesfest’s first announcement containing the likes of Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, the New Power Generation, Lionel Richie, and The John Butler Trio, you could have been forgiven if you’d assumed they had peaked early. Now, the beloved festival has announced a killer addition of 16 more acts to its already stacked lineup.

Senegalese singer Youssou N’Dour kicks off the announcement, accompanied by the likes of Seal, Jackson Browne, and Bluesfest veteran Michael Franti & Spearhead. Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Gomez, and Rag’n’Bone Man also make the cut, proving that there’s a little something for everyone on offer.

Of course, there’s plenty in store for those who love the classics as well with The Original Blues Brothers Band, Jimmy Cliff, The Wailers, and even the legendary Canned Heat. Heck, how many chances do you have do see a band that played at Woodstock? They’re few and far between, that’s for sure!

Bluesfest is all set to go down from Thursday, March 29th 2018 until Monday, April 2nd. With a stellar lineup such as this, the festival is undoubtedly set to be one of the biggest events on the Aussie concert calendar, so this is definitely one you won’t want to be missing.

While some of the acts from the first announcement were nice enough to give fans sideshows, it might be wise not to test your luck waiting for those and risking a sellout from Bluesfest, so now’s the time to grab your ticket.

While we wait for Bluesfest to kick off, let’s revisit one of the classics by Bluesfest veteran Michael Franti & Spearhead, ‘Everyone Deserves Music’.
