Brian Anthony Howe, former frontman of cult UK rock act Bad Company, has passed away. The musician died on May 6th at his Flordia home from cardiac arrest. He was 66 years old.

Howe sang on Bad Company’s Fame and Fortune (1986), Dangerous Age (1988), Holy Water (1990), and Here Comes Trouble (1992), and live album What You Hear Is What You Get (1993).

Howe left the band in 1994 to pursue a solo career — he released three solo records: Tangled in Blue (1997), Touch (2003) and Circus Bar (2010).

Prior to his work with Bad Company, Howe cut his teeth at the vocalist for US guitarist Ted Nugent. Touring with him and providing vocals for his 1984 record, Penetrator. He also co-wrote the 1997 Megadeth track ‘I’ll Get Even’.

Howe’s death was confirmed by his manager Paul Easton in a statement to The Wrap.“It is with deep and profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of a loving father, friend and musical icon, Brian Howe.”

Howe’s sister added “finding the appropriate words to express the pain in our hearts over losing my brother has been difficult. Our family would like to thank you for your compassion and the outpouring of love we are receiving.”

Howe suffered a heart attack back in September 2017, later saying: “It was a bad one, apparently – I don’t remember anything about it. I was driving. And I was found in my car at a stop sign, unconscious … It took me a long time to recover.”
