Bring Me The Horizon resurrected some of their early tracks for a special medley during their recent performance in Amsterdam.

Ask any fan of Bring Me The Horizon, and they’ll undoubtedly agree that the band have changed their sound quite a bit over the years, evolving from deathcore to metalcore in just over a decade.

While their first two albums – 2006’s Count Your Blessings and 2008’s Suicide Season – are classics among the band’s fanbase, they’ve not been played live for quite some time.

In fact, most of the band’s recent shows have featured material from their previous two albums, with 2010’s ‘It Never Ends’ occasionally making an appearance.

However, Tuesday night saw the group performing one heck of a throwback, delving deep into their catalogue for their eager Dutch fans.

Taking place at Amsterdam’s AFAS Live on November 20th, the group decided to drop in a medley of their old work in honour of frontman Oli Sykes‘ 32nd birthday.

Kicking things off with the first performance of ‘The Comedown’ since 2011, Bring Me The Horizon quickly threw down the classics, performing tunes like ‘(I Used to Make Out With) Medusa’, ‘Diamonds Aren’t Forever’, and ‘Re: They Have No Reflections’, with the latter making its first live appearance in well over a decade.

While the rest of the set mainly consisted of tracks from the band’s Sempiternal and That’s The Spirit albums, the crowd were undoubtedly stoked to see such a unique performance from the group.  In fact, the medley seemed to be so well-received that Bring Me The Horizon delivered it again the following night in France.

While Bring Me The Horizon are set to make their way down to Australia next April in support of their upcoming album, amo, there’s no word yet if we’ll be witnessing such a powerful throwback during their Aussie shows.
