It might be time to start counting down to a new release by Cage The Elephant, with the group revealing they’ve completed their new record.
It’s almost been three years since Cage The Elephant released their last album, 2015’s Tell Me I’m Pretty, though it seems we’re about to receive new music, with the group revealing their new record is done.
Taking to Twitter earlier today, the group shared a rather simple message that simply noted, “Record done. Mixed. Mastered.”
As for when we’re set to actually hear the record, well that remains to be seen, but we’re hoping it’ll be sooner rather than later.

While it’s been three years since their last studio record, it seems there ain’t no rest for the wicked, with the band releasing their Unpeeled live album last year, and recently teaming up with Tom Morello for his Atlas Underground project.
As it stands, it’s been almost seven years since Cage The Elephant hit up local stages for their only Aussie tour to date, so we’re hoping this prospective new record might result in some long-awaited tour dates.
