December has been a tough month for death metallers Cannibal Corpse.

Guitarist Pat O’Brien was arrested on December 10th for burglary and assault in the wake of his house burning down.

Things were complicated further when police discovered a stash of weapons, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and military-grade flamethrowers in his house.

O’Brien has since been released on bail, which was set at $50,000, and is receiving support from a crowd-funding campaign set up by eana Mazurkiewicz, wife of CC drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz.

Now, the band has released a statement about Pat, as well as how it effects their plans for touring into the new year.

“As a band and as individuals, we all want nothing but the best for our brother and partner, Pat” the statement, posted to Facebook, reads.

“We wanted everyone to know that Pat is getting the help he needs and appreciates the love and support from Cannibal Corpse fans around the world.”

Regarding the band’s upcoming live commitments, which include supporting Slayer and headlining the 2019 Decibel Magazine tour, the band were blunt; “All Cannibal Corpse touring will happen as planned and all shows will be played.”

O’Brian will be required to pass a drug test in order to remain free on his bond.

While it’s unclear if he will be returning to the fold in the immediate future, things seem to be rolling on for the band as they gear up for a big 2019.
