Beloved singer-songwriter Cat Power is set to return Down Under this summer for a series of intimate theatre-only solo performances. Power will be performing a whole raft of new material alongside her old favourites.
The Georgia-born singer and songwriter has a close relationship with Australia, making her first trip over all the way back in 1997 at the behest of Dirty Three drummer Jim White and several return visits since both solo and with her band.
Power’s follow-up visits Down Under have seen her perform at many of our most prestigious festivals and events, including slots at Meredith, Golden Plains, MONA FOMA, Sydney Festival, and PIAF, as well as headline shows in some of our premier venues.
Power will be performing entirely solo, armed with just a guitar and a piano this February, taking over some of Australia’s grandest venues before she returns home to record her eagerly anticipated next album.
