The end of 2015 is shaping up to be the busy season for talented homegrown rhyme-slinger Citizen Kay. Having dropped a massive single in ‘Wax On Wax Off’, the first to be taken from his forthcoming album, he’s now followed it up with ‘Life Gives You Lemons’.

With it’s reflective rhymes sitting atop a bed of soulful funk rhythms, ‘Life Gives You Lemons’ bodes very well for Kay’s upcoming full-length, which is titled With The People and is set to drop Friday, 16th October.

With The People follows on from Citizen Kay’s Demokracy mini-album, which yielded several acclaimed singles and was picked up by a number of US college stations, breaking into the Top 10 of the CMJ hip-hop charts.

Meanwhile, back home, Demokracy has picked up nominations for Best Urban Album at the ARIA Awards and Best Independent Hip-Hop Album at the AIR Awards, so With The People is arriving on a tidal wave of momentum.

The album features 12 new track and continues Citizen Kay’s writing and production partnership with Ben Garden, with whom the rapper crafted the hard-hitting single ‘Freedom’, which garnered acclaim from fans and media alike.
