You might want to start making plans to head up to Queensland this September, with City And Colour announcing a one-off show to close out the 2019 Brisbane Festival.

Ever since City And Colour last visited Australia back in 2016, fans have been eagerly hanging out for the stunning artist’s return to our shores.

Having released his last full-length record back in 2015, old mate Dallas Green has released a few singles over the last couple of years, but has been spending a lot of his time on tour with his reunited band, Alexisonfire.

Now though, Australians are set to receive a special one-off show from the Canadian musician this year, with City And Colour being announced as the headliner for the closing night of Brisbane Festival.

Announced earlier today, City And Colour is set to close out the festival, which runs from September 5th to the 28th, performing a set full of classic tunes and new favourites from his as-yet-untitled sixth album.

Performing alongside The Jezabels and Asha Jeffries, the full lineup for the night is still to be announced, but these huge musical appearances will help Brisbane’s iconic Riverstage celebrate its 30th birthday with yet another typically-amazing event.

Of course, if you can’t make it to the Riverstage on September 28th, there’s plenty more on offer at this year’s Brisbane Festival, with performances from The Amity Affliction, Holy Holy, Kate Miller-Heidke, and Justin Townes Earle on offer, while Tropical Fuck Storm will also perform a live soundtrack to the classic film, No Country For Old Men.

Tickets to the closing night of the Brisbane Festival go on sale from 12pm on Thursday, July 4th from the festival’s website.
